This 200-year-old farmhouse - with 5 bedrooms, a pond, fields and miles of trails through the woods - is the perfect short-term home for families or multiple single people looking for an idyllic life interlude, whether you're in the area for work at nearby Dartmouth college or medical center, or just temporarily between homes.  

The 5 bedrooms include two rooms with queen beds, one with a double, and two with twin beds.  There is a large swimming pond beyond the back yard, a flat front yard for outdoor dining, a fire pit out back, and miles of trails through the fields around the house and into the woods. The living room has two sitting areas, one surrounded by windows looking out on the fields and pond, the other around a fireplace.  There are dining areas in both the kitchen and living room.

The house is just over a mile up a dirt road from the quintessential Vermont village green in Thetford Hill. There are only a few houses beyond it on the road, so there is little traffic. It sits on 20 acres of fields and woods, borders the Thetford State Forest, and is half a mile from the Zebedee Wetland nature trails.

Ideal rental period is 2-4 months, or an academic semester.  We are not currently entertaining year-long or longer rentals.
