North Park Graduate Housing

Reserved for first-year graduate students, North Park is a short walk to campus, as well as shopping and restaurants in downtown Hanover.

About North Park

The community is located on a quiet corner of the Dartmouth campus providing an ideal setting for this 11-building, 33-apartment, 111-bedroom neighborhood.  

First year graduate students from Geisel, Thayer and Grad Studies (Guarini) can apply to rent a bedroom in the larger 4-bedroom/2-bath apartment shared with three other individuals ($1,025/mo. per bedroom). A very limited number of 1-bedroom ($1,380/mo.) and studio ($1,230/mo.) apartments are also available.  

All North Park apartments are supplied with basic furniture, electricity, heat, water/sewer, trash/recycling services, and internet/wi-fi through the Dartmouth Network, and this is all included in the monthly rent. Residents have access to a basement storage area and a centrally located coin-operated laundry room. 

Limited assigned covered parking in the community is available for a monthly fee of $115.  Parking spaces are only available to faculty, staff and graduate students.

All North Park Street Graduate Housing is non-smoking and no pets of any kind are allowed in any of the units.

Applying for North Park Housing

The application period for housing for the 2019-2020 school year has ended

To apply for North Park, please create an account on our website or log-in to an existing account, and then submit the application by clicking this link (this link is no longer available as the application period has ended).

There is a $25 non-refundable fee to submit an application which needs to be paid by credit card to our office by calling 603-646-2170 during business hours.  The $25 application fee must be paid within 48-hrs of application or else the application will be terminated.  Business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00AM - 4:00PM EST and all credit cards are accepted except for American Express.

Available bedrooms will then be assigned to applicants via a lottery system, so there is no guarantee that if you apply you will get offered housing at North Park.  The first lottery is underway and began on April 1, 2019 and the second lottery will begin on May 10 and continue until all rooms are filled.  Room assignments from the second lottery will begin on May 10, 2019 and will continue until all rooms have been assigned and accepted.

Only 1st year Geisel, Thayer and Grad Studies (Guarini) grad students are permitted to apply for housing at North Park (no 2nd+ year students and no Tuck students are permitted to apply).
