Reserved for first-year graduate students, North Park is a short walk to campus, as well as shopping and restaurants in downtown Hanover.
The community is located on a quiet corner of the Dartmouth campus providing an ideal setting for this 11-building, 33-apartment, 111-bedroom neighborhood.
First year graduate students from Geisel, Thayer and Guarini can apply to rent a bedroom in the larger 4-bedroom/2-bath apartment shared with three other individuals (currently $1,085/mo. per bedroom). A very limited number of 1-bedroom (currently $1,465/mo.) and studio (currently $1,310/mo.) apartments are also available.
All North Park apartments are supplied with basic furniture, electricity, heat, water/sewer, trash/recycling services, and internet/wi-fi through the Dartmouth Network, and this is all included in the monthly rent. Residents have access to a basement storage area and a centrally located laundry room.
Limited assigned covered parking in the community is available for a monthly fee of $115. Parking spaces are only available to graduate student residents of North Park.
All North Park Street Graduate Housing is non-smoking and no pets of any kind are allowed in any of the units.
The application period for housing for the 2021-2022 school year has begun and will end on May 19, 2021.
There is a $25 non-refundable fee to submit an application which needs to be paid by credit card to our office by calling 603-646-2170 during business hours. The $25 application fee must be paid within 48-hrs of application or else the application will be terminated. Business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30AM - 3:30PM EST and all credit cards are accepted except for American Express.
Available bedrooms will then be assigned to applicants via a lottery system, so there is no guarantee that you will get offered housing at North Park if you submit an application. The first lottery (for applications received by April 7th) will be held beginning on April 13, 2021 and the second lottery (for applications received from April 8th to May 19th) will be held beginning on May 24, 2021 and will continue until all rooms have been filled.
If your application is included in the first lottery but you don't get offered housing then, your application will automatically be included in the second lottery. Our office will reach out to you via the email address you provided on your application with regards to your applications status once the lottery assignments have been completed for each round.
Only 1st year Geisel, Thayer and Guarini graduate students are permitted to apply for housing at North Park (no 2nd+ year students, no undergraduates, and no Tuck students are permitted to apply).
